JSW MG Motor India reported retail sales of 4572 units in July 2024. More than 35% of those sales were from their electric and hybrid vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki reported a 3.63% decline in total sales to 1,75,041 units in July 2024 compared to 1,81,630 units in the same month last year. Its total domestic passenger vehicle (PV) sales stood at 1,37,463 units against 1,52,126 units in July 2023, down by 9.64%.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s leading automotive companies, announced that its overall auto sales for the month of July 2024 stood at 66,444 vehicles, including exports. In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 41,623 vehicles in the domestic market, a growth of 15% and overall, 42,012 vehicles, including exports. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles stood at 19,713.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recorded 31,656 units in July 2024, representing a 44 per cent increase compared to the 21,911 units sold in the corresponding period last year. Domestic sales accounted for 29,533 units, exports totalled to 2,123 units during the month.
Kia India reported a 2.5 per cent YoY growth with a domestic dispatch of 20,507 units in July this year. The South Korean carmaker sold 20,002 units in July 2023. Additionally, the company exported 2,500 units in July ’24, with Seltos contributing 932 units. The Sonet and Carens contributed 740 and 833 units.
Hyundai July 2024 sales stood at a total of 64,563 units, which was a 3.2% decline in sales from the same month last year. Hyundai Motors saw a 3.3% decline in domestic sales for the month of July 2024, selling 49,013 units against 50,701 units in the same month last year. The exports also fell from 16,000 units in July 2023 to 15,550 units in July 2023. Considerably a 2.8% Y-o-Y negative growth.
Tata Motors Limited sales in the domestic & international market for July 2024 stood at 71,996 vehicles, compared to 80,633 units during July 2023.Tata Motors witnessed a 6% decline in its passenger vehicle (PV) domestic sales in July 2024, selling a total of 44,725 units, which includes electric vehicles (EVs).
Honda Cars India’s sales stood at 4,624 vehicles in July, while exports stood at 2,710 units. Comparing the sales with July 2023 where Honda sold 4,864 units in the domestic market and exported 1,112 units, there is a drop in domestic sales, but also a year-on-year growth of 22 per cent in exports,
