Skoda Kushaq and Slavia Sportline Launched

Skoda Auto has introduced the Monte Carlo edition with Slavia and Sportline trims with Slavia and Kushaq.

The Slavia is the third Skoda car to get the Monte Carlo treatment, after the Rapid and the Kushaq.

Previously, the Monte Carlo trim was only offered on the Skoda Kushaq, but now it has been extended to the Skoda Slavia as well.

Commenting on the new introductions, Mr. Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “The Monte Carlo badge has a strong connection with customers, reflecting the spirit of sport and victory. I am happy to share that we launched the Slavia Monte Carlo today. This is part of our strategy to grow the Škoda brand in India, which is one of the largest markets for us outside Europe. This special car will have a strong appeal with customers looking for unique, subtle, and sporty aesthetics, projecting a discrete sense of style. It is homage to our 112 years in Rallye Monte Carlo, 129 years of rich heritage, and 24 years in India. We have also introduced two new trims, Slavia Sportline and Kushaq Sportline — reflecting our intent to keep the range evolving and contemporary, offering greater choice and value to customers. The Sportline is perfect for customers who seek the sporty aesthetics of the Monte Carlo at a more accessible price point. The Sportline

Škoda Auto India also expanded the Kushaq and Slavia range with the debut of the Sportline across the two best-selling Škoda cars. In a move that is the result of customer feedback, Škoda Auto India have now introduced the Sportline, which adds to the existing Classic, Signature, Monte Carlo, and Prestige variants of the Kushaq and Slavia, furthering choice and value for customers.

Sportline trim: Kushaq and Slavia

The Sportline trim is based on customer feedback, and it gets blacked-out design elements from the Monte Carlo like the taillights, aero kit, and other details. The Slavia Sportline gets 16-inch black alloy wheels and the Kushaq is shod with 17-inch black alloys. The Sportline also gets LED headlamps and DRLs.

Along with many other amenities, this sporty trim level also has an electric sunroof, alloy foot pedals, a connectivity dongle, rain-sensing wipers, and an auto-dimming internal rearview mirror.

Slavia becomes the third Skoda offering in India to carry the Monte Carlo badge, which essentially pays homage to the brand’s legacy in motorsport.

The Monte Carlo legacy

The principality of Monte Carlo in the sovereign state of Monaco has been steeped in glamour and glory for over a century. Škoda Auto began its successful motorsport involvement, which has included numerous victories at the famous Monte Carlo Rally over this period. Laurin & Klement vehicles were entered in the second run of the rally classic in 1912, and in 1936 was on the start line for the first time at the legendary competition. The Popular Sport roadster finished in second place in the under-1.5-liter class.

Slavia Monte Carlo Edition

The Monte Carlo gets blacked-out detailing such as a blacked-out grille, front lip spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels, roof, boot lid spoiler, and rear diffuser element.

The window garnish houses an all-black theme, as do the ORVMs. The radiator grille, garnish around fog lamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels are treated in black. There is a Monte Carlo badge on the fender, and the rear sports a black sporty diffuser and bumper.

The Monte Carlo edition is available in tornado red and candy white color with a contrasting black roof.

On the inside, the Slavia Monte Carlo features an all-black cabin with red highlights on the dashboard and the seats. The digital instrument cluster and central touchscreen also feature red graphics.
