60 Units of Tesla Model Y Delivered in India This September

The long wait for Tesla’s entry on the Indian roads is over, as the brand has already made its Model Y September deliveries. Out of 600+ bookings, 60 units of Model Y have been delivered to their respective buyers, giving the car a decent sales start.

At present, the brand is only selling Model Y to Indian buyers. The model is imported from Shanghai, China, as a completely built unit (CBU). The brand was planning to import around 2,500 units from China. However, due to supply chain constraints and major global demand, the number of imports can differ.

Price of Two Variants

There are two variants of the Model Y being sold in India:

• Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): Price at Rs. 59.89 lakh, it offered 500 km(WLTP) range and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
• Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (LR RWD): Price at Rs. 67.89 lakh, it provides a range of 622 km (WLTP) and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
