The latest test car wears heavy camouflage but some changes are still easy to notice. The lighting setup seems to be one of the major upgrades. The Punch facelift is expected to feature a new triangular style lighting layout, similar to the updated designs seen on Tata’s Nexon and Harrier. A visible CNG sticker on the windshield confirms the powertrain type of the model spotted in Munnar
Engine And Performance
The Punch facelift will continue with the same engine options as the current version. The SUV uses a 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine that delivers 87.8 PS and 115 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. When running on CNG, the power output reduces to 73.5 PS and 103 Nm. In its CNG form, the Punch is available only with a 5 speed manual transmission
One of the strongest selling points of Tata’s CNG lineup including the Punch, is the dual cylinder setup. This design helps save valuable trunk space, which is a common complaint among CNG vehicle owners. The Punch CNG keeps this practical advantage
