Tesla has opened its first charging station in Gurugram, taking an important step toward building a strong electric vehicle charging network in India. The new charging facility is located at DLF Horizon Center a well known commercial hub in the city. This launch comes shortly after the opening of the Tesla Center in Gurugram showing the company’s steady expansion in the Indian market

The charging station at DLF Horizon Center has been planned to support different types of charging needs. Gurugram was chosen because it is a key part of the Delhi-NCR region and has strong demand for premium and electric vehicles

The site is designed to serve both short visits and longer stops making it suitable for office goers, visitors and residents in the area

  • Three Destination Chargers offering charging speeds of up to 11 kW

According to Tesla, the Superchargers installed at the Gurugram station can deliver quick results. A Tesla Model Y can add up to 275 km of driving range in just 15 minutes when connected to a Supercharger

Following the opening of Tesla’s charging station in Gurugram the company now operates three charging locations in India

Current Tesla charging sites include-

  • DLF Horizon Center, Gurugram
  • Worldmark, Delhi
  • One BKC, Mumbai

Together, these locations offer a total of 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers across the country

Workshops To Educate Users About EV Charging

To help customers better understand its charging technology, Tesla will hold interactive workshops at the Horizon Center charging station

  • Dates- December 17 to December 21
  • Focus- How Superchargers and Destination Chargers work
  • Additional topics- Electric mobility and sustainable energy solutions

These sessions are aimed at new users and visitors who want to learn more about EV charging and clean mobility
