The Tayron R-Line will be VW’s new flagship 7-seater SUV in India. The company has already revealed the Tayron R-Line. It features a 2.0L turbo-petrol engine (204bhp), AWD as standard, and is set to be locally assembled to compete with the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq.

2. Volkswagen Tera (Sub-4m SUV):

Expected Launch Date: February 2026

The Tera is a compact SUV based on the Skoda Kylaq platform. It will target the mass market, taking on rivals like the Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza with an expected starting price around ₹9 Lakh.

3. Volkswagen Taigun Facelift:

Expected Launch Date: April–June 2026

Volkswagen has confirmed that the Taigun Facelift, While the current Taigun still looks sharp, the updated compact SUV will receive cosmetic refreshes, a panoramic sunroof, and potentially a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0L TSI engine.

4. Volkswagen Virtus Facelift:

Expected Launch Date: September-October 2026

The Volkswagen Virtus Facelift is currently one of the most anticipated updates in India. The facelifted Virtus will get revised front and rear styling, new alloy designs, and cabin tech upgrades like ADAS to stay competitive against the rivals in the mid-size sedan segment.
