2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift was officially unveiled in India on 9 April 2026, bringing a fresh face and a major mechanical upgrade to the popular mid-size SUV.
While production has already kicked off at the Pune plant, official prices are expected to be announced in May 2026.
The most significant mechanical upgrade for the 2026 Volkswagen Taigun is the introduction of a sophisticated new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Replacing the outgoing 6-speed unit, this advanced gearbox is specifically paired with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine to redefine the driving experience.
This move marks a major step forward for the Taigun, blending the brand’s signature “fun-to-drive” DNA with the modern demand for better economy and refined city performance.
