Nissan Tekton Launched in India at ₹10.49 Lakh: Price, Variants & Engine Options

Nissan Tekton has been launched in India with prices starting at an attractive introductory tag of ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tekton is positioned right in the sweet spot of India’s booming SUV market.

The Tekton marks Nissan‘s return to the heavily congested compact SUV segment where it will go up against its sister model, the new Renault Duster, Both SUVs are built on the exact same RGMP platform and share identical engine and gearbox options.

Bookings Open

Official bookings are now open across all authorized dealerships and online portals for a token amount of ₹21,000.

Deliveries

Customer deliveries for the Tekton SUV are scheduled to commence from July 20.

Design

The Nissan Tekton marks a major shift in the mid-size SUV segment, adopting a rugged, SUV-first design language that draws heavily from the brand’s iconic flagship, the Nissan Patrol. This gives the vehicle a significantly more upright, muscular stance than its alliance sibling, the Renault Duster. Up front, the imposing SUV features a broad grille accented by twin chrome bars. This fascia is flanked by sleek LED headlamps that link seamlessly into a striking, full-width C-shaped LED daytime running light (DRL) signature. To further enhance its bold, premium appearance, designers added a contrasting red accent strip directly beneath the headlamps, highly sculpted bonnet lines featuring prominent Tekton lettering, and a rugged dual-tone bumper equipped with a faux silver skid plate and high-visibility LED fog lamps.

When viewed from the side profile, the new Nissan Tekton retains the balanced, robust proportions of the Duster platform but introduces several distinct, Nissan-specific styling elements to carve out its own unique road presence. Most notable among these side details are the newly designed, high-ground-clearance 18-inch alloy wheels that sit squarely under heavily pronounced wheel arches. The silhouette also benefits from a distinctive silver trim insert placed strategically on the front doors, alongside hidden rear door handles neatly integrated directly into the C-pillars. This clever handle placement creates a much cleaner, aerodynamic, and coupe-like side profile while maintaining its pure SUV identity.

The rear architecture echoes the front fascia’s premium styling, utilizing connected C-shaped LED tail lamps that are linked together by a brilliant, full-width LED light bar. The vehicle’s commanding SUV character is reinforced at the back by a sharp roof-mounted spoiler, a highly upright tailgate layout, and a rugged dual-tone rear bumper featuring a silver skid plate. Setting it completely apart from the Duster, the Tekton’s tailgate is finished entirely in a single uniform body colour instead of a contrasting black panel, giving the rear a much cleaner and more premium automotive look. Finally, the bold Tekton badge is proudly and prominently displayed right across the tailgate, making it instantly recognizable on Indian roads.

Interior & Features

On the inside, Nissan Tekton looks very modern and premium. It gets a unique, beautiful dual-tone rose gold and burgundy color theme that feels extra luxurious. On the dashboard, you will find a large 10.1-inch floating touchscreen for music and maps, sitting next to a crisp 10.25-inch fully digital screen for the driver’s speed and gauges.
