The company has started accepting bookings for the two supercars. Deliveries in India are expected to commence by year-end.
The updated models feature cosmetic changes, improved aerodynamics, additional features, more equipment, and a new interior. There are subtle tweaks to the front section, where there are redesigned headlamps, tweaked bumpers both fore and aft, and repositioned exhaust tips. The GTS additionally gets active air vents on the front bumper with flaps that open and close to channel air for improved cooling or reducing drag.
The new 2024 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS is powered by a newly developed 3.6-liter hybrid petrol engine. It’s called a T-Hybrid petrol-electric system. Porsche has introduced a hybrid-assisted powertrain with the Carrera 4 GTS, marking the first time in the 911’s 61-year history.
This setup features a 3.6-liter, six-cylinder boxer engine, a gearbox-mounted electric motor, and a 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. The now-bigger engine has an output of 485 bhp and 570 Nm of torque. Combined with the hybrid system, the output is 540 bhp and 610 nm. The Carrera 4 GTS gets an all-wheel drive system with rear axle steering, PASM Sport Suspension with a 10mm height drop, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus with fully variable electronically controlled rear differential lock and fully variable torque distribution.
The Porsche 911 Carrera can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, which can be reduced to 3.9 seconds with the optional Sports Chrono package. The car can reach a top speed of up to 294 km/h. The new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS can attain a top speed of 312 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds.
