BMW Group India has reported the highest ever sales in the country in the first half of the year, delivery of 7,098 units (BMW and MINI).
The German luxury car manufacturer marked a 21 percent increase year-on-year from 5,867 units in the January–June period of 2023.
BMW Group India delivered a total of 7098 cars (BMW and MINI). Out of which, BMW sold 6734 units and MINI 364 units.
BMW India witnessed a high demand for its sports activity vehicles, luxury cars, and electric cars.
BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah stated.”In 2024, BMW Group India is making great strides in implementing its strategy by achieving new heights in business performance and customer delight, The company has accomplished the highest ever half-yearly car sales and continuously maintained leadership in the luxury electric car segment, he added.
Best-selling Models
Notably, BMW SUVs primarily accounted for around 3,600 units, or 54% of the total. The BMW X1 was the best-selling SUV, accounting for 19 percent of sales, while the BMW 3 Series was the best-selling sedan, making up 17 percent of sales.
The Four ‘Luxury Class’ vehicles category, which includes the 7 Series, i7, X7, and XM, witnessed a 17 percent growth, contributing 18 percent to the total sales. Among these, it is the X7 that was the highest-selling Luxury Class BMW in the first half of the year.
Moreover, the BMW iX is the most popular luxury EV in India, with over 1,000 units sold to date.
