BYD e6 Facelift Teased for The Indian Market; Diwali Launch Expected

BYD India has teased a facelift for the e6 MPV, which is slated to be launched here by Diwali this year.
The E6 MPV is known as the M6 in global markets.
BYD had unveiled and launched the e6 facelift at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in July.
The updated e6 will get a host of revisions over the current model, making it more appealing and an option to consider for Indian buyers.
Moreover, the international model gets a three-row 6/7-seater version, but it is not sure if the brand will launch the three-row version in India or not. Currently, the BYD e6 is available with a 5-seater version in India.
The BYD e6 is currently priced at Rs 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

BYD e6 Facelift: Design
The upcoming facelift will get a revised front fascia with new LED headlamps and a redesigned LED DRL, a new grille with a satin finish, and a brand-new set of alloy wheels. Moreover, the front bumper is revised with a new design for the air vents, and it gets chrome embellishments.
BYD e6 Facelift: Powertrain
In the international market, the e6 has two battery pack options: a 55.4kWh unit with a claimed range of 420km and a 71.8kWh unit with 530km range. It produces 163hp with the smaller battery and 204hp with the larger battery; torque is rated at 310Nm for both variants.
The existing model of the e6 that is sold in India gets the 71.8 kWh battery pack.

Being an electric MPV, the BYD E6 has no direct rival in the market.
