Hyundai Creta Electric Launched In India; Prices Start From Rs 17.99 Lakh
Hyundai has launched its much-anticipated Hyundai CRETA Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The Creta Electric will be offered in four variants – Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence.
The Creta Electric is being manufactured at Hyundai’s state-of-the-art Sriperumbudur plant (Chennai), which has an annual production capacity of 8,24,000 units.
Hyundai Creta Electric : ex-showroom Prices
The ex-showroom prices for the Creta Electric vary based on the battery and variant. The 42kWh battery options are priced at Rs 17.99 lakh for the base variant, which is Executive model, Rs 18.99 lakh for the Smart, Rs 19.49 lakh for the Smart (O), and Rs 19.99 lakh for the Premium variant. Meanwhile, the 51.4kWh battery variants are available at Rs 21.49 lakh for the Smart (O) variant and Rs 23.49 lakh for the Excellence model.
Hyundai Creta Electric : Design and Interior
The Creta Electric looks quite similar to the internal combustion engine (ICE) version. Key design highlights of the 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric include a blanked-off grille with a charging port, reworked front and rear bumpers, all-LED lighting, LED light bars at the front and rear, new alloy wheels with aero inserts, and faux skid plates.
On the inside, the Creta EV features a dual-tone grey and dark navy colour scheme, combining a familiar layout with exclusive EV-specific enhancements. The dashboard houses dual 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, complemented by a distinctive three-spoke steering wheel with Morse code-inspired detailing.
Hyundai Creta Electric : Battery Pack And Range
Hyundai has provided the Creta Electric with two battery packs: a 42 kWh unit having an ARAI-claimed range of 390 km and the other a 51.4 kWh unit with 473 km of claimed range. The all-electric compact SUV gets a single electric motor making up to 171 PS (depending on the variant chosen) that sends power to the front wheels.
Hyundai Creta Electric : Safety Features
The Creta Electric’s safety equipment includes a Level 2 ADAS suite, six airbags, 360-degree cameras, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and hill-start and descent assist.

The Hyundai Creta Electric competes with the MG ZS EV, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6.
