Hyundai Creta EV teased ahead of debut
Hyundai is gearing up to launch an Electric version of the Creta! Set to debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the Korean carmaker has released the first official teaser for the all-electric Creta.
The teaser video partially reveals the silhouette of the electric SUV without uncovering the vehicle in its entirety. The clip reveals the charging flap built at the front nose of the car.
Based on the teaser video and spied images, one can make out multiple similarities between the Creta EV and ICE.
Some design differences include a closed-off front grille, front-mounted charging port, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and revised bumpers with connected LED tail lamps and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels.
The Creta Electric will also borrow features from the standard Creta. It is expected to come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, dual dashboard-mounted screens, cooled front seats, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.
In terms of powertrain, the Hyundai Creta Electric is expected to get a 45 kWh battery pack. This power from this battery will be used by an electric motor generating 138 hp and 255 Nm of peak torque. With all of this, the EV is expected to offer a range of 450 km on a single charge.
The Hyundai Creta EV is slated to go on sale on January 17, 2025. Its prices could start from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
