On year-on-year basis, Hyundai July sales saw a 10.28% drop in domestic volumes. This is down from 49,013 units in July 2024 to 43,973 this year. Month-on-month, the decline was marginal, with only 51 fewer units than June’s 44,024. Exports rode the trend, though. They rose 3.54% to 16,100 units, up from 15,550 a year ago.
SUVs commanded the Hyundai car sales mix. They delivered 71.8% of July’s domestic tally. The Creta stole the spotlight. This car model’s range of powertrains—petrol, diesel, turbo-petrol, and electric variants—played key roles in this success.
Also, the Creta’s sunroof-equipped versions alone represent about 70% of current sales. This is a sign of rising demand among younger buyers wanting style and tech.

As Tarun Garg, COO of HMIL, noted: the focus is on “enhanced value and innovation” to meet evolving customer needs.
With SUVs still in vogue and fresh launches on the horizon, Hyundai monthly sales look set to regain momentum in the coming months.
