The Jaguar Type 00 EV concept will be showcased at an event in Mumbai on June 14. The vehicle was first unveiled in Miami in late 2024 and had its European introduction in Paris earlier this year.
The concept model made global headlines as the brand took the wraps off its first ever car under its new revamped identity.
The Jaguar Type 00 model will be showcased as a part of a global tour. After stops in Monaco, Munich, and Tokyo, the car will finally land on our shores this June.
Design
The Type 00 has a unique and eye-catching look, featuring a boxy shape, sleek headlights, and large wheels, setting it apart from Jaguar’s usual sporty cars and SUVs. The Type 00’s sleek and dramatic design breaks traditional electric vehicle norms. With a long hood, sloping roofline, boat-tail rear, and 23-inch alloy wheels, it exudes sophistication. Built on Jaguar Electrical Architecture (JEA), the car prioritizes both innovation and sustainability, delivering zero emissions.
Presented in colors Miami Pink and London Blue, Jaguar said the concept showcases an entire new brand identity that recaptures brand founder Sir William Lyons’ original ethos to “Copy Nothing.”
Meanwhile, On the inside the Type 00 is equally flamboyant the interior is understated and minimal at best with hand-finished brass lines across the entire cabin. Some of the interior highlights include butterfly doors, floating centre console which the brand calls ‘Spine’, deployable dual screens on the dashboard, stitch-less wool blend seat upholstery, clever storage spaces, and hidden ambient lighting.
Specifications
The Type 00 Concept is based on a EV specific platform and its production version is expected to be offered with an all-electric powertrain which is reported to develop about 986 bhp and can offer a range of up to 692 km on a single charge.
Moreover, the battery pack will support fast charging and will gain 321 km in 15 minutes of DC fast charging.
