Mahindra teases BE 6e, XEV 9e electric SUVs ahead of debut on November 26

Mahindra has unveiled teaser sketches of its upcoming Electric Origin SUVs—the BE 6e and XEV 9e.
Both the electric SUVs will be underpinned by the INGLO skateboard architecture, which is designed to host an all-electric vehicle platform and incorporates electric components from Volkswagen’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB).
These models will make their global debut at the ‘Unlimit India’ event on November 26, 2024, in Chennai.
Pratap Bose, Chief Design & Creative Officer, Auto & Farm Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “Heartcore Design is about creating an emotional bond with our customers through design. Prepare to fall in love with our Electric Origin SUVs.”
Mahindra BE 6e
The BE 6e showcases a sporty profile, sculpted surfaces, and aerodynamic features. It gets horizontally stacked projector headlamps outlined by C-shaped Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs). Additionally, the BE 6e comes with a bonnet scoop, wearing a glowing BE logo, as the name implies.
Prices of the BE 6e are expected to start at around Rs 24 lakh.
The BE 6 will compete with the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti eVX and Hyundai Creta EV.
Mahindra XEV 9e
The XEV 9e expresses sophistication and performance with a bold SUV coupe design. The XEV 9e’s vertically oriented headlamps are mounted below a connected LED lightbar. Moreover, the XEV 9e features an illuminated infinity logo. Though the rear end is not visible, we surmise that the vehicles will come with connected LED taillamps.
The Mahindra XEV 9e is expected to be priced at Rs 38 lakh.
Moreover, the XEV 9e will compete with the upcoming Tata Harrier EV and Tata Safari EV.
