Mahindra has introduced significant discounts on its popular Thar 3-door model aimed at boosting sales amidst a dip in demand.

A few Mahindra dealerships across the country are offering discounts on various models this month. Customers can get benefits in the form of cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and corporate discounts.

It couldn’t have been a better time to buy the three-door Thar. Mahindra is offering up to Rs 3 lakh on both the petrol and diesel variants.

Furthermore, even the waiting period on the Thar has come down significantly. However, an increase in production as well as higher average monthly deliveries has helped the carmaker reduce the waiting period significantly.

The 4×4 variants now have a waiting period of up to 3 months, while the 4×2 version has a waiting period of just over 2 months.

The Mahindra Thar is a lifestyle off-road SUV. The current-generation model was launched in 2020 and combines strong road presence with a punchy engine, smooth transmission, and some serious off-road capability. While the Thar is offered with rear-wheel drive as standard, the 4×4 version is offered as an option for those who enjoy off-road challenges.

The Mahindra Thar is currently available with a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine providing 128 horsepower and a 2.0-liter mStallion turbo petrol engine producing 150 horsepower. With the RWD configuration, a smaller 1.5-liter diesel engine with 117 horsepower is also available.
