Mahindra’s most anticipated car of the year the Thar Roxx is gearing up to go on sale this Independance day. The latest iteration promises to elevate the legacy of the Thar, a beloved off-roader first launched on October 2, 2020.
The front side showcases the premium aspect of the Mahindra Thar Roxx. Although it will have the magnificent off-roading DNA of its three-door cousin.
The front fascia is completely redone with a double-stacked six-slot grille and circular projector LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs. Moreover, the placement of the indicator and fog lamps remains unchanged from the 3-door Thar.
The off-roading SUV gets a completely different platform and more advanced off-road gear.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx will be underpinned by an updated version of the Gen 3 platform which has been used in the Scorpio N and will come with a hard metal body.
The Thar ROXX sits on a rugged ladder frame chassis but the platform has moved a generation ahead – 4G from 3G.
Additionally, Mahindra will also equip the Roxx with its ‘Frequency Dependent Damping’ technology to enhance ride quality. The Thar Roxx also gets Crawl Smart Assist (CSA). This feature will be available on the automatic version. The system allows the driver to set a speed between 2.5 km/h to 30 km/h, and the vehicle will maintain the speed without any input from the driver.
