  • Prices start at Rs. 21.90 lakh; deliveries begin late July.

Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6 Pack Two With 79kWh Battery Upgrade!

Mahindra has expanded Pack Two trims of its XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs with a new 79kWh battery option. This upgrade brings flagship power—282 hp and 380 Nm—to the mid-level variant and lifts ARAI-certified range up to 682 km.

Prices begin at Rs. 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom), with bookings already open and deliveries from late July.

This option sits on the INGLO platform shared by both SUVs, ensuring strong chassis rigidity and balanced ride comfort. Existing Pack Two reservations can be upgraded to the larger battery pack without changing delivery schedules.

Mahindra’s service network of 300+ touchpoints supports confident long-term EV ownership. Charger options include 7.2 kW or 11.2 kW AC wall-boxes, installable at home for added convenience.

This move sharpens Mahindra’s edge in India’s electric SUV segment by blending range, tech, and pricing.

Mahindra XEV Pack Two Variant Upgrade

The Pack Two variant on Mahindra’s INGLO platform now offers both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. Customers can opt for the larger cell to match Pack Three performance at a mid-trim cost.

This update lowers the gap between mid- and top-trim pricing by Rs. 1.6 lakh, widening appeal among value-seeking buyers.

Mahindra has confirmed that charger and installation costs are extra, letting owners pick between 7.2 kW or 11.2 kW units. Orders placed before the July rollout can be seamlessly upgraded to the 79 kWh option.

The new battery bolts into the existing battery bay, maintaining identical load-floor height and cargo space. Mahindra’s Electric Origin sub-brand strategy gains momentum as Pack Two joins Pack One and Pack Three.

Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6 Pack Two: Powertrain and Range

A rear-mounted permanent magnet motor feeds a single-speed gearbox on both models. Swapping from 59 kWh to 79 kWh raises peak output from 231 hp to 282 hp while torque stays at 380 Nm.

RAAI-certified figures highlight the gains:

0–100 km/h sprints drop to 6.7 s in the BE 6 and 6.8 s in the XEV 9e with the larger pack. Drivers can choose Range, Everyday, or Race modes to balance efficiency and performance.

One-pedal regen mode optimizes city commuting and extends single-charge range. Thermal management ensures consistent output and battery longevity in hot and cold climates.

Both battery packs support fast DC charging: a 140 kW charger for the 59 kWh pack and a 175 kW unit for the 79 kWh setup.

Charging times are as follows:

Home charging bundles include the wall-box, cable, and installation at approved rates. Mahindra’s growing public-charging tie-ups ease long-distance travel among key city corridors.

Smart-charge scheduling via the native app lets owners power up during off-peak tariffs. Battery pre-conditioning optimizes temperature before DC charging, cutting dwell times. Optional V2L (vehicle-to-load) adapter supports powering external devices on the go.

Mahindra XEV 9e & BE 6 Pack Two: Tech, Comfort & Safety

Pack Two trims come well-equipped with safety and comfort kit:

  • Level 2 ADAS suite—including lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and auto emergency braking.
  • Six airbags, EPB, TPMS, high-stiffness bodyshell, and all-wheel disc brakes for crash safety.
  • LED projector headlights, sequential turn indicators, fixed glass roof, and aerodynamic 19″ wheels.

Mahindra XEV: Outlook for India’s Electric SUV Market

By extending the 79 kWh battery to Pack Two, Mahindra sharpens its competitive edge against rivals such as Tata, MG, and Hyundai. This move blends long-range capability, advanced fast-charging, and Level 2 ADAS at accessible prices.

One electric SUV sold every 10 minutes underscores strong market demand. Mahindra’s modular INGLO platform can scale to future EV models, reducing development time.

Rivals may respond with mid-trim battery upgrades or pricing adjustments to defend market share. Growing public infrastructure and grid stability will support higher EV penetration.

Mahindra’s robust service network and OTA updates reinforce post-purchase confidence. This update accelerates EV adoption by balancing range, performance, and ownership value.
