Bookings for the Windsor EV Pro will open on May 8. Buyers will also be able to opt for the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) plan, which would bring the price of the Windsor EV Pro down to Rs 12.50 lakh, with a fee of Rs 4.50 to be paid per kilometre driven

JSW MG Motor India has launched Windsor Pro with a bigger 52.9 kWh battery pack. This iteration of the vehicle has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 8,000 customers.

Buyers opting for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program can purchase the vehicle for Rs 12,49,999 (ex-showroom) plus a battery rental cost of Rs 4.5 per km.

MG Windsor Pro Interior

On the inside, the MG Windsor Pro get a new upholstery theme. The regular version has a monotone theme, whereas the Windsor Pro will be have a dual-tone dashboard treatment. The cabin continues to boast lounge-like comfort for rear seat comfort with its 135-degree reclining rear seats. It is also equipped with 256-colour ambient lighting and for the natural sunlight in the day, you get that big fixed glass roof as well.

The exterior design of the MG Windsor Pro remains unchanged. However, the alloy wheel design are changed, and these are similar to Hector.

The Windsor Pro comes equipped with vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging, which means the Windsor EV Pro could be used as a mobile power source.

One of the standout additions to the Windsor Pro is Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes features like:

Adaptive Cruise Control
Traffic Jam Assist
Lane Departure Warning
Forward Collision Warning, among others

Powered tailgate

The Windsor Pro gets a powered tailgate. However, Luggage space drops slightly to 579 litres, down from 604 litres in the standard Windsor.
