Maruti Suzuki has launched the fourth-generation Dzire, which was revealed last week, in India. The updated sub-four-meter sedan has debuted at a starting price of Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Dzire boasts extensive upgrades in design, safety, technology, and powertrain, promising a blend of comfort, safety, and style for Indian consumers.

The Maruti Dzire continues as the undisputed leader of the sedan segment in India, with the highest sales each month among its many competitors.

Bookings for the new sedan have already been opened at the token amount of Rs 11,000.

Maruti offers the new Dzire in four broad variants—LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus—and in both petrol and CNG powertrain choices.

2024 Maruti Dzire: Safety

Standard safety features include six airbags, an electronic stability program, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, a three-point seatbelt for all seats, and Isofix mounts. Also, a rear defogger comes as standard.

Moreover, Global NCAP awarded the car an exceptional 5-star rating for adult safety and an impressive 4-star rating for child safety. The new Dzire is the first in Maruti’s portfolio to achieve such an impressive safety rating.

2024 Maruti Dzire: Dimensions

As for dimensions, the new Dzire measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, and 1,525 mm in height. The sedan has a wheelbase of 2,450mm and a boot capacity of 382 liters.

2024 Maruti Dzire: Powertrain

The Dzire is powered by the Swift’s 1.2-liter Z-Series petrol engine that produces 80 bhp and 111.7 Nm of torque and is mated to five-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The compact sedan also has an idle start/stop function for better fuel efficiency.

2024 Maruti Dzire: Features

The 2024 Maruti Dzire offers a host of upgrades over its predecessor. These include a nine-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, and compatibility with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, it features rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports, and introduces segment-first amenities like a 360-degree camera, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an electric sunroof.
