Nissan sales 2 lakh units of Magnite SUV In India

Nissan India today announced the sale of over two lakh units of its Magnite SUV, marking a key milestone for the automaker in the competitive sub-four-meter SUV segment.

The Japanese automaker has sold over two lakh units of the Magnite SUV since its launch in 2020.

Positioned as a value-driven SUV with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹6.14 lakh, the Magnite has helped Nissan regain a foothold in the mass-market segment. Moreover, this sales landmark highlights Magnite’s growing popularity and its success in catering to the evolving preferences of Indian car buyers.

Nissan Magnite Facelift

Nissan gave the Magnite a facelift in October 2024. The updated model came with design tweaks, feature updates, and improved comfort—all while sticking to the SUV’s original strengths.

Powertrain

Nissan offers the Magnite with two petrol engine options:

1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm
1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 99 bhp and 160 Nm

Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual for both engines, while the NA variant also offers an AMT (automated manual transmission). The turbocharged engine, on the other hand, gets the convenience of a CVT automatic.

Fuel Efficiency

Manual petrol: Up to 20 km/l
CVT: Around 17.4 km/l

CNG Option

Nissan has recently introduced a government-approved CNG retro-fitment kit for the Magnite.

CNG buyers now have a more economical version of the Magnite to buy, albeit with a premium price of Rs. 75,000 compared to the standard petrol variant.

This CNG version of the SUV is retrofitted, allowing Nissan to quickly pursue the increasing demand for alternative fuel vehicles by not completely reengineering the SUV.
