Quick Read
Summary is AI-generated, newsroom-reviewed- The Skoda Kylaq will continue to be sold with introductory pricing until April 30, 2025.
Skoda Auto India has extended the introductory pricing of the Kylaq until April-end to maintain the sales momentum. Notably, the Kylaq has been a runaway success. It has already garnered over 15,000 bookings.
The Skoda Kylaq is the third model from the Czech manufacturer under its 2.0 strategy, after the Kushaq and Slavia. The Kylaq ranges between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable Skoda car on sale right now.
Manufactured at the company’s Chakan plant in Pune, the Kylaq benefits from an expanded annual production capacity of 2,55,000 units.
The OEM is targeting monthly sales of 3,000–4,000 units initially for the Kylaq, contributing to its broader goal of achieving 100,000 annual sales across its portfolio.
Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Škoda Auto India, stated, “With the launch of the all-new Kylaq, we committed to a ‘New Era’ in our India journey. The 7,422 cars we sold in March 2025 is a testament to this journey taking shape.” The Kylaq, unveiled in November 2024 and launched for deliveries in January 2025, has already garnered over 15,000 bookings.
Škoda aims to fulfill all bookings by May 2025, implementing its “fastest ramp-up in production” strategy. Manufactured at the Chakan plant in Pune, the Kylaq is produced on the MQB-A0-IN platform, ensuring high localization of up to 98% for competitive pricing and easier maintenance.
Moreover, Skoda has significantly expanded its presence in India since 2021, more than doubling its network from 120 touchpoints to over 280, with plans to reach 350 by the end of 2025. The company has also introduced digital initiatives such as fully digitalized showrooms and online sales options, along with customer-focused service programs including the Anytime Warranty and Skoda Supercare maintenance package.
