Toyota Innova Electric Unveiled offering 59.3 kWh Battery, 700 Nm Torque

Toyota has unveiled the concept form of its electric Innova MPV in Jakarta at the Indonesia International Motor Show.

Toyota had showcased a fully-electric concept of the Innova Crysta at GIIAS in Indonesia in 2022. Now, Toyota has showcased yet another concept of a battery-powered Innova Crysta but this time it looks closer to production.

Called the Kijang Innova BEV Concept, the fully-electric version of the MPV recently took the podium at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025.

Originally showcased in 2022, the latest iteration features refreshed styling and upgraded powertrain specifications. The concept showcases Toyota’s commitment to innovation and clean mobility, expanding the Innova’s legacy with electric power.

Toyota Innova Electric Concept features a closed-off grille with a fresh design for the headlamps with LED lights connected by a DRL. The bumper has slimmer fog lights, and the Toyota badge gets a blue accent to hammer the EV point home. The design is complemented by multi-color graphics and 16-inch alloy wheels. At the back, it has a unique design for the wrap-around tail lamps with connecting LED strips.

On the inside, the interior of the Innova Electric is largely the same as the Innova Crysta.

The battery positioning has enabled the flat floor architecture, which allows for increased leg space for the second-row passengers. Captain chairs are used for the middle row seats, with enhanced comfort.

Key features include dual-tone upholstery, electronic gear selector, blue-tinted digital instrument cluster, large infotainment display, leather-wrapped steering wheel, second-row captain seats, wireless charging, and ambient lighting.

Toyota Innova Electric Battery Pack and Range

The Innova Electric is powered by a 59.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack that makes up to 179hp and a massive 700Nm of torque. Additionally, the battery can be juiced up with both AC and DC charging systems.
