VinFast VF 7, VF 9 to make India debut at Auto Expo 2025; VF7 Electric SUV Teased

The VF 7 is a five-seater mid-size premium electric SUV. While, the VF 9 is the largest e-SUV in VinFast’s line-up.
In this article, lets take an overview at both of the cars.
VinFast VF 7 SUV: Exterior
The VF 7 features crossover-like silhouette, sporting light units at the front and rear that form VinFast’s V motifs. The sportiness is further enhanced with the tapering roofline. At the rear, Vinfast VF7 has a heavily raked windshield, a prominent roof mounted spoiler, shark fin antenna and layered tailgate design. Talking about the alloy wheels – the Eco gets 19-inchers while Plus gets 20- and 21-inch options.
VinFast VF 7 SUV: Interior and Features
The interior of the VF 7 SUV is loaded with rich materials and lots of tech. The dashboard features a clean layout, and there is only one central screen. A 12.9-inch unit will be available on the Eco variant, while the Plus will feature a 15-inch unit.
Other key features on offer will be Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which will offer highway assist, lane centering assist, adaptive cruise control and emergency lane keep assist.
VinFast VF 7 SUV : Variants, Powertrain and Range
Globally, the VF 7 is available in two variants: Eco and Plus. Both are equipped with a 75.3kWh battery pack but differ in performance:
- Eco: A single front-mounted motor delivering 204hp and 310Nm of torque.
- Plus: A dual-motor AWD setup with a combined output of 354hp and 500Nm of torque.
VinFast claims a WLTP-rated range of 450km for the VF 7 Eco and 431km for the Plus
VinFast VF 9
The largest e-SUV in VinFast’s line-up abroad, the VF 9 is a three-row SUV capable of seating six or seven people.


Vinfast VF9 : Powertrain and Range
Vinfast VF9 comes with a 123-kWh battery pack. With a dual motor AWD setup, the output is 402 hp and 620 Nm. These specs are the same for both the Eco and Plus variants of VF9. However, the Eco variant has a higher range of 531 km, as compared to 468 km of the Plus variant.
Both variants can achieve 10% to 70% charge in around 35 minutes.
VinFast claims a 0-100kph time of 6.6 seconds for the Eco version (which weighs 2,911kg and comes in 7-seat form only) and a 6.7-second time for the Plus (2,959-2,968kg kerb weight, depending on whether it’s specced in 6-seat or 7-seat configuration).
