The arrival of Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq in the premium compact SUV segment has only spiced up the competition, which has been witnessing the leadership of the Korean duo of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
The Taigun is based on the same platform that underpins Skoda Kushaq, and there is a lot in common between the two vehicles. They both have the same petrol engines in the same state of tune; both Taigun and Kushaq are available with a choice between two turbo petrol engines.
While both the compact SUV’s are based on the company’s new MQB A0 IN platform that has been developed specifically for the Indian market.
The Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun bear the most resemblance to each other. Overall, the Kushaq looks more sophisticated, whereas the Taigun is more rugged and sportier.
Both Taigun and Kushaq have set up new benchmarks in performance and driving appeal with their best-in-class safety.
