Volvo Cars is gearing up to launch the refreshed version of its flagship SUV, the XC90 in India. The facelifted Volvo XC90 is confirmed for launch on March 4, 2025.
Globally updated in September 2024, the Volvo 2025 XC90 facelift is expected to go on sale in India later this year. The facelifted XC90 SUV features several changes, including updates to its design and technology.
Moreover, the Volvo XC90 facelift continues to use the same SPA1 platform and retains a choice of a plug-in hybrid and two mild-hybrid four-wheel-drive powertrains.
Volvo XC90 Facelift Design
The overall silhouette of the Volvo XC90 facelift will remain similar to the current-spec model. The front fascia of the SUV is all new and in line with Volvo’s latest models.
The facelifted XC 90 features a redesigned grille with more diagonal lines and a new grille, with the signature Thor’s Hammer LED daytime running lights continue as a stand-out feature.
The profile of the SUV largely remains unchanged, It will come with a fresher set of dual-tone alloy wheels.
At the rear, the facelifted XC90 will feature a revamped bumper with a horizontel chrome strip, with redesigned LED tail light elements.
Volvo XC90 Interior
Inside, the XC90 facelift will retain the same layout as its predecessor but will come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system. Volvo has made ergonomic upgrades to the cabin creating extra storage space in the centre console. Other updates include a tweaked suspension setup with the inclusion of Volvo’s Frequency Selective Damping technology.
Volvo XC90 Facelift Powertrain
Powering the 2025 XC90 facelift could be the same 2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 250 PS and 360 Nm. This comes with the 48V mild hybrid functionality. It is possible that Volvo may offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
