Volvo India is gearing up to introduce the XC90 facelift on March 4, 2025. First unveiled in September 2024, the XC90 facelift gets notable design and technology upgrades while retaining its platform and powertrain options.

The 2025 Volvo XC90 gets an updated front fascia, with refreshed grille, revised air dam and reshaped LED headlamps on either side while keeping Volvo’s signature Thor’s Hammer DRLs.

The overall silhouette of the 2025 Volvo XC90 is the same as its predecessor.

The Facelifted XC 90 will get new designed alloy wheels, with the size expected to stay around the current 21 inches.

At the rear, updates may include a reprofiled bumper with a horizontal chrome strip and slightly redesigned LED taillights.

On the inside, the 2025 XC 90 will feature a dual-tone theme, leather upholstery, and a 3-spoke steering wheel. Notable tech features include a 12.3-inch driver display, an 11.2-inch freestanding touchscreen, and a high-end 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system.

Moreover, the infotainment system is expected to get a larger touchscreen with Volvo’s latest Android-based interface.

2025 Volvo XC90 Powertrain

Volvo has not confirmed the drivetrain options for India.

The 2025 Volvo XC 90 is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system. This setup produces 250hp and 360Nm, reaching the 100kph mark in 7.7 seconds. The 8-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels, which gives it AWD capability.

The XC90 will compete with the likes of the Audi Q7, Mercedes GLE and BMW X5.
