Volvo Cars India has delisted the S90 premium sedan from its lineup. The car has been removed from the automaker’s official website.
Launched in its facelifted avatar in October 2021, the S90 was locally assembled and had a price tag of Rs 68.25 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against models like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the BMW 5 Series.
With the S90 no longer on sale, Volvo India’s lineup now only includes SUVs, such as the XC40, XC60, XC90, EX40, and EC40.
Volvo has updated the S90 sold globally. It comes with mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.
Moreover, the ES90 has also been revealed in electric variant with new styling, large touch screen and new hybrid power trace, in which a range of up to 700 km is seen on a single charge with a battery pack of 106KWH capacity, but no official confirmation has come out for India for these two models yet.
We can expect the updated S90 facelift to arrive on Indian shores sometime next year.
