To date, Hyundai India has sold a total of 1,02,682 units. This includes 75,506 units in the domestic market and 27,176 units exported from India.
The Alcazar is produced from the company’s Sriperumbudur plant in Chennai.
Launched in June 2021, the three-row Hyundai Alcazar is among the company’s premium offerings,. The Alcazar gets two engine options: a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel. The former, which is mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox, develops 158 bhp and 253 Nm of peak torque, whereas the latter, paired with either a six-speed manual or an automatic torque converter unit, generates 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
The SUV is available in six variants: Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature, and Signature (O).
Hyundai India is preparing to launch the facelifted Alcazar in the coming months, around September-October 2024.
The Hyndai Alcazar’s major competitors are the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Jeep Compass.
