Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e launch tomorrow: Here’s what you Need to Know
Mahindra will officially take the covers off its first Electric Origin SUVs—XEV 9e and BE 6e—tomorrow at the Mahindra Unlimit India in Chennai.
Both the Mahindra BE 6e and the XEV 9e will retain the same basic design as seen on the concepts from back in 2022.
Impressively, Mahindra also claims these SUVs will be the fastest SUVs ever made by an Indian manufacturer.

Mahindra BE 6e: Design

The Mahindra BE 6e boasts C-shaped LED DRLs complemented by a slightly curved aerodynamic bonnet with the illuminated BE logo. From the side, it showcases a robust road presence with a high shoulder line and glossy black wheel arches. The side panels are further accentuated with sharp character lines.

Mahindra BE 6e: Interior

The BE 6e will have a cockpit-like interior with a halo wrapping around the driver’s side of the cabin, and it will also have dual floating infotainment screens. Along with this, the electric SIV will have a two-spoke wheel with an illuminated logo.

Mahindra BE 6e: Expected features

The BE 6e will offer features such as a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, ambient lighting, a Type C charging port, ventilated and powered front seats, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, auto-dimming IRVM, and multiple drive modes.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Design

The XEV 9e boasts a muscular and aggressive design. The front profile is dominated by vertically stacked LED headlights and sleek, inverted L-shaped LED DRLs. The sloping roofline adds a sporty touch, while the connected LED tail lights complete the modern look.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Interior

The XEV 9e will have triple screens stretching across the width of the dashboard and will share some switchgear with the XUV700. It also gets a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, adding a touch of sophistication. To further enhance the cabin experience, the BE 6e will also include a large glass roof, contributing to its premium appeal.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Expected features

The notable features that will be included in the XEV 9e are Level 2 ADAS assistance utilizing five radars, in-car cameras, 5G connectivity, Dolby Atmos audio with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and segment-first patterned lighting in the panoramic sunroof.

Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e Battery:

The upcoming Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e will be powered by LFP batteries. The company earlier revealed that the BE 6e and XEV 9e will be offered in two battery options of 59kWh and 79kWh.
