Porsche Macan EV RWD and 4S EV Launched in India, Starting at Rs 1.23 Crore

Porsche, the iconic luxury sports car manufacturer has launched two new variants for the Macan EV lineup in India, the standard Macan Electric and Macan 4s Electric variant. The all-electric Macan made its global debut in January this year with the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo variants.

Porsche India has started accepting bookings for three variants of the Macan.

The Prices start from Rs.1.22 crore for the standard variant, while the 4S is priced at Rs.1.39 crore.

The new Porsche Macan Electric features a host of new cosmetic features, including a new exterior color, Slate Grey Neo. The Macan Electric also introduces a new 20-inch set of wheels, that are optional.

Both the entry level Macan and the Macan 4S feature standard adaptive air suspension and electronically controlled dampers (PASM), with the option for rear-axle steering.

Additionally, the AWD Macan 4S is equipped with the electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management system, which can optionally integrate with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

The standard Variant features a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 250 kW or up to 265 kW with overboost, and 563 Nm of torque. This allows the RWD Macan to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 219km/h.

2024 Porsche Macan 4s Electric

The Macan 4S, meanwhile, gets a new rear-mounted motor paired with the same front-axle motor as on the Macan 4 and Turbo. All told, the 4S pumps out 442 horsepower, with a brief boost taking it to 509 hp. Launch control allows for a maximum of 578 pound-feet of torque.

Porsche says the 4S will sprint from 0 – 100 in 3.9 seconds, and the top speed is listed at (240 km/h).

New off-road design package

The new off-road design package features a front bumper with differing geometry that increases the approach angle to up to 17.5 degrees, depending on the model (with the air suspension at a specifically raised level). In combination with the standard adaptive air suspension, the off-road design package also increases the ground clearance in the normal setting by 10 mm to 7.6” (195 mm), topping out at 8.8” (225 mm) in its highest setting.
