The Curvv’s SUV coupé body style carries over the strong aerodynamic theme with an emphasis on premium appeal. Tata Curvv will be first available in its EV version which will soon be followed by its ICE counterpart. The Curvv boasts of several smart features unheard of in this segment and usually found in higher-segment vehicles. The Curvv is expected to be equipped with ventilated front seats, ADAS suite, cruise control, automatic climate control, fully digital instrument console, and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.
The Citroen Basalt was unveiled as a concept in March 2024, its debut is all set to be unveiled in its production-ready avatar in August. The Basalt SUV will be the fifth Citroen car in India. The manufacturing of the SUV-coupe commenced in June. The Citroen Basalt will be produced locally at Citroen’s plant in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, the Basalt’s coupe design is less common in the country apart from Tata Curvv which has been slated to launch next month.
The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar is set to launch later this year, likely in festive season of 2024. It is likely to make its India debut in September this year. The 2024 Alcazar is expected to include advanced technologies like Level 2 ADAS, an enhanced infotainment system, superior interior materials, and improved connectivity options. Mechanically, the SUV will likely continue with the same powertrain option as the current iteration.
Maruti Suzuki is planning to bring the next-gen Dzire to the Indian market. The upcoming sub-compact sedan is expected come with significant design updates, with all-new interior, segment-first features, and the new Z-Series engine. The Swift Dzire will offer a single-pane sunroof, which will be a first for Maruti Suzuki and in the segment. The Test mule of the new generation Dzire had been spotted earlier this year, which resembles with the current-gen Swift but with redesigned bumper and tail lamps.

The fourth-generation Kia Carnival, to be introduced in India around festival season this year. Kia had previously revealed the exterior of its Carnival facelift last year, and the Indian version appears nearly identical to the global model. The new Carnival is expected to come with 2.2-litre turbo-diesel in India mated to an automatic transmission.
Kia will introduce the EV9 electric SUV in India before the end of this financial year. The Kia EV9 sports a futuristic design, premium features, and claims a practical range of more than 650 km. The Kia EV9 is a proper boxy-looking car with minimal design elements. The EV9 is a electric seven-seater with a roomy, well-appointed interior. The full-size electric SUV based on the same E-GMP platform that also underpins the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 which are already offered in India.
The MG Cloud EV is a new electric crossover by MG which is based on the Wulling Cloud EV, sold in Indonesia. The Cloud EV will be the third electric car by MG in India. The Cloud EV is a four-door crossover measuring 4,295 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,652 mm in height. The MG Cloud EV is expected to be offered with a 50.6 kWh battery pack, with a range of up to 460 km. The full technical details of the India-spec Cloud EV haven’t been revealed yet.
The Mahindra Thar 5-door is expected to break cover on India’s 78th Independence Day. The 5-door Thar is the most anticipated car from Mahindra this year. The exterior revisions include a longer wheelbase and two extra doors, with a circular LED headlights and a redesigned grille. The Thar 5-door is expected to include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and dual-zone automatic control. To ensure safety of passengers, it will get 6 airbags, an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, 360-degree camera and rear disc brakes.
Jeep India had announced launching the facelift of the Meridian later this year. The new SUV has been spied testing in Bangalore. The Jeep Meridian facelift is likely to feature subtle styling updates, including redesigned front and rear bumpers and reprofiled headlamps. The interior will be similar to the current model but might get new seat upholstery, among other minor changes. Jeep India has provided small updates to the Meridian including added features and new variants over the course of its existence. Jeep Meridian might include additional features like a front and rear dashcam and an air purifier.
