Hyundai Creta continues its SUV sales reign In April 2025, sold 17,016 SUVs

First launched in India in 2015, has gained significant popularity since then. Not only is it the best-selling compact SUV, but it also ranks among the top-selling cars in the country.

The market for mid-size SUVs has consistently been dominated by the Hyundai Creta. With 17,016 units sold, the Hyundai Creta recorded its best monthly sales in April 2025.

Hyundai CRETA continues to dominate the Indian car market for the second Month. These milestones reflect the strong trust and loyalty Indian customers have shown toward the Creta brand. The model’s stellar performance also contributed significantly to HMIL’s success, with SUVs accounting for an all-time high of 70.9% of Hyundai’s domestic sales in April 2025

The Creta remains unreachable at the moment and the car has also managed to maintain this strong run for a while now.

From the South Korean automaker’s lineup, the Creta has consistently been one of the best-selling cars. It has a distinctive, eye-catching design language, a boatload of features, a wide range of variants, and several engine choices. Everybody can choose from a variety of the Creta range, whether they like a diesel engine, a turbocharged petrol engine, or a NA petrol engine.

Commenting on the achievement, Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer at HMIL, said, “Hyundai Creta’s continued dominance in the Indian market is a reflection of the trust and love that Indian customers have placed in the brand. Being the best-selling car across all segments for two months in a row and the top-selling SUV for the first four months of 2025 is a proud achievement for all of us at HMIL.”

Hyundai Creta Celebrates a Decade of Success

2025 also marks a decade of Hyundai CRETA on Indian roads. Since its launch in 2015, the SUV has established a firm emotional connection with over 1.2 million customers, becoming a hallmark of style, trust, and aspirational mobility.

It is available with three petrol and diesel engine options

The Hyundai Creta comes with three BS6-compliant engine choices, including a 1.5-liter diesel motor (113.42hp/250Nm), a 1.5-liter petrol mill (113.42hp/144Nm), and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol unit (138hp/242Nm). Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, an iVT, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The Hyundai CRETA offers a spacious cabin with ventilated seats, an adjustable steering wheel, power windows, a USB charger, a panoramic sunroof, and automatic climate control.

It also gets an 8-speaker Bose sound system and a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment console with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Safety Features

Hyundai has equipped the Creta with safety features such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and all-wheel disc brakes. Further adding to the layer of the safety is the level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and blind spot detection among others).
