Hyundai i20: 5 Key Updates to Watch Out for in 2025
Hyundai Motor India has carried out updates on its popular i20 car to make it better suited to a larger range of customers. For the 2025 model, the company gives customers a new trim level, adds useful features to its base models and introduces a new infotainment feature, all with no changes to the car’s styling.

Quick Comparison: What’s New in the 2025 Hyundai i20?

The car is still powered by a familiar 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, making 86.7 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 114.7 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. Customers can get the Venue with a traditional 5-speed manual or the company’s iVT transmission. Prices have been set from ₹7.04 lakh to ₹11.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

What’s Changed in the 2025 Hyundai i20?

  1. Magna Executive variant is now available

A new Magna Executive variant from Hyundai will be available for ₹7.50 lakh. You get better savings with this tidy model which is also cheaper than the standard Magna but does not cut out the key features.

  1. Magna is also usingiVTTransmission technology

Previously, the iVT automatic gearbox could only be found in V Capital trim, but now it is available in the Magna too, for ₹8.88 lakh. The car is designed to offer city drivers an easier and hands-free driving option, all at a mid-range price.

  1. Some lower variants will now be equipped with a sunroof feature

Before, the Smart Electric Sunroof was found only in top-tier trims; now, you can get it in the Magna and Sportz (O) trims too. Hyundai plans to present the i20 in a more attractive way for those seeking style and convenience in their cars.

  1. Sportz(O) Now Comes with Extra Features

The features of the Sportz (O) trim are now the kind found in Sportz & Sportz SX models. This car has a Smart Key for push-button starting, a top-quality Bose 7-Speaker premium sound system and a smart electric sunroof—still offered at a mid-priced rate.

  1. New Touchscreen Infotainment Option Hit the Market

A genuine 25.55 cm touchscreen infotainment system is now available from Hyundai for ₹14,999. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are part of the unit’s features, as is a rear-view camera. You get a 3-year warranty and the device also works with lower variants that don’t have infotainment systems installed.

The Current Market Situation

Hyundai is introducing new features to the i20 in an attempt to make the car more appealing in the Indian market for its prices. The company keeps its attention on city buyers, especially those new to purchasing apartments and young professionals, by making sure their dwellings are comfortable and well-connected to the city, but at a moderate price.
Hyundai’s i20 is a hit among consumers in India and continues to go up against models from Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Toyota.
