The Octa is a high-performance version of the Defender.
The premium SUV is available in two variants: Octa and Octa Edition One
The Defender Octa boasts a 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine. Producing an impressive 626 hp and up to 800 Nm of torque.

Jaguar Land Rover has Launched the Land Rover Defender Octa in India at a starting price of Rs 2.59 crore (ex-showroom). The Performance based SUV is available only in the five-door ‘110’ body style.

Additionally, the brand has introduced the Defender Octa Edition One, which, in the first year of production, will be available at Rs 2.79 crore (ex-showroom).

Moreover, the initial batch of the Defender Octa is sold out. JLR will soon open the bookings for the most powerful Defender.

The Defender Octa achieves a 0 to 100 kmph sprint in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.

Land Rover Defender Octa Design

The Defender Octa SUV is available only in the five-door ‘110’ body style. The vehicle sports extended and reinforced wishbones, comprehensive underbody shielding, with flared wheel arches, fewer perforated sections in the front skid plate, a more open front grille, and a bumped-up 319mm ground clearance. Moreover, the quad exhaust setup at the rear adds a sporty touch.

Interior

On the inside, The cabin of the Octa Defender features the same rugged design as the rest of the range, featuring a larger 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, new Performance seats are now equipped for improved support, featuring more substantial bolsters, integrated headrests and in-seat speakers for more immersive sound.

The Edition One offers ‘3D Knit’ materials, chopped carbonfibre trim (similar to the forged carbonfibre launched on the Huracán Performante) and Khaki and Ebony Ultrafabric upholstery; a set of 20-inch forged wheels also come as part of the Edition One package.

Land Rover Defender Octa Color Options

The Defender Octa is offered in four color options namely Carpathian Grey, Charente Grey, Faroe Green and Petra Copper.

Additionally, these can also be had with matte finishes, which include a protective film.

Land Rover Defender Octa Upgrades

The high-performance variant of the iconic Defender series gets a host of upgrades to its mechanicals making it the most powerful Defender ever

The Land Rover Defender Octa is equipped with a highly advanced and dynamic chassis. This off-road machine features a 6D dynamic suspension system similar to the one seen on the Range Rover SV. The system keeps the cabin incredibly stable without the need for a physical anti-roll bar.

Additionally, the Octa has new raised front and rear bumpers, providing a maximum approach angle of 40 degrees and a departure angle of 42 degrees. Furthermore, the breakover angle stands at 29 degrees.

The SUV is equipped with robust underbody protection, allowing for more adventurous off-road excursions. It also features an enhanced water-wading capability, enabling it to traverse up to one meter of water.

Land Rover has also added an aluminium alloy plate beneath the engine to offer greater impact protection, with bronze front and rear recovery points permanently on display.
