Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it will increase the prices of its cars by up to 4% from April 2025 owing to rising input costs and operational expenses.
Notably, This is the third instance of the Maruti Suzuki Cars announcing a hike in the price of its vehicles after January and February this year.
According to Maruti Suzuki, the price increase is expected to be up to 4 percent and will vary depending on the model.
“In light of rising input costs and operational expenses, the Company has planned to increase the prices of its cars from April, 2025. The price increase is expected to be up to 4% and will vary depending on the model,”
“While the Company continuously strives to optimize costs and minimize the impact on its customers, some portion of the increased cost may need to be passed on to the market,” Maruti said in a stock exchange filing on Monday.
Maruti Suzuki Cars price hike follows a 4% increase in December, which took effect in January. The company had also raised prices by 1,500 rupees to 32,500 rupees for several models last month.

Maruti Suzuki Cars February 2025 Sales
Total Sales: 199,400 units, reflecting a 0.97% growth from 197,471 units in February 2024.
Domestic Sales: 163,501 units.
Sales to Other OEMs: 10,878 units.
Exports: 25,021 units, marking a 13.5% decline year-on-year.
Passenger Vehicle (PV) Sales: 160,791 units, recording a 0.32% year-on-year increase from 160,271 units in February 2024.
