Maruti Suzuki India, one of the country’s largest carmaker have announced the recall of 2,555 Alto K10 vehicles due to a potential defect in the steering gear box assembly.
Maruti Suzuki’s authorised dealer workshops will contact these customers to arrange a free inspection and replacement of the faulty part.
Out of abundant caution, customers of the affected vehicles are advised not to drive or use the vehicle till the Part is replaced.
Affected vehicle owners will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki authorized dealer workshops for inspection and replacement of the Part, free of cost.
The defect may affect the steering of a vehicle, the auto major said in the filing and has advised users to refrain from using these vehicles until the part is replaced.
