Tata Curvv EV Is The Latest Addition To Himachal Pradesh Police Fleet
- Himachal Pradesh Police has inducted the newly launched Tata Curvv electric vehicles into its official fleet.

Tata Curvv EV has been officially inducted as a cop car in Himachal Pradesh (HP). The induction is part of the state’s move toward electrifying its public vehicle fleet.
This is a significant step toward sustainable law enforcement. These vehicles will serve in the ‘Road Safety Enforcement’ department.
Tata Curvv EV parked outside a Tata showroom is finished in a Pristine White shade and features design tweaks that make it stand apart from the regular Curvv EV. The helpline number (112) is also marked on the rear fender and tailgate.
Tata Curvv EV Himachal Police Key features:
- Police Livery: The vehicles are equipped with official police markings and decals.
- Emergency Lights: Red and blue rooftop lights have been added for visibility during patrols and emergencies
- 360-Degree Camera: A roof-mounted camera enables full surveillance during patrols
- Wireless communication: Provisions have been added to facilitate wireless communication for police operations.
- Performance: The police vehicles are likely the versions with the larger 55 kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of over 500 km and provides 167 hp and 215 Nm of torque.
The adoption of EVs is seen as a sustainable move that helps curb tailpipe emissions in the mountainous region and reduces operational costs for the police department. However, the suitability of the coupe-style EV for the state’s hilly terrain has been a subject of online discussion, with some users questioning the choice.
