- 1.2-litre turbo-petrol: Limited to the Altroz Racer, this engine puts out 120 PS and 170 Nm. It can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission.
- 1.2-litre CNG: The Tata Altroz CNG is based on the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and puts out a reduced output of 73.5 PS and 103 Nm. It’s offered only with a 5-speed manual.
Mahindra XUV 700
- 2-litre turbo-petrol: This engine develops a mighty 200 PS and 380 Nm and can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It is available only with front-wheel drive and delivers strong performance.
- 2.2-litre diesel: This engine is available in two states of tunes: 155 PS and 360 Nm in lower variants as well as 185 PS and up to 450 Nm in higher variants. A 6-speed manual is offered as standard, while the more powerful version can be had with an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic. The XUV700 diesel also offers optional all-wheel drive.
