Citroen India has launched the Basalt coupe-SUV at an introductory price of Rs 7.99 lakh. The Basalt is Citroen’s first mass-market SUV-coupe, and fourth model based on Citroen’s C-Cubed programme for India.
Citroen Basalt serves as an alternative to traditional midsize SUVs, although its direct rival will be the Tata Curvv.
The coupe-SUV by Citroen sports a split LED DRL setup, below which you can spot the LED projector headlamps. It gets squared-off elements in the grille, a faux silver skid plate for the chin, and the same chrome-lined Chevron logo at the top. Moreover, the bonnet and the LED daytime running lamp signature are carried over. Furthermore, blacked-out ORVMs, flap-type door handles, dual-tone alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna, wraparound taillights, sloping roofline, and optional contrast-coloured roof.
