The new Defender Octa is the flagship SUV in in the Defender lineup and is the most powerful Defender ever with a 4.4-litre twin -turbo V8 engine.

The 2025 Defender Octa will be launched in the Indian market tomorow. The Octa is more on providing greater levels of off-road ability than any Land Rover to date.

The Octa will come with numerous mechanical upgrades, touted to be the most powerful and off-road-capable version of the Defender.

To prove its durability and duality, engineers put the Octa through 13,960 tests and clocked up over 10 lakh km in challenging and wildly varying conditions all around the world.

The company previously announced prices for the Defender Octa for India last year, starting at ₹2.65 crore (ex-showroom). We expect the prices to witness a marginal hike for the new model year.

2025 Land Rover Defender Octa, what does it offer?

The Defender Octa is equipped with robust underbody protection, that allows more adventurous off-road excursions. It also features an enhanced water-wading capability, enabling it to traverse up to one meter of water. The exterior is available in exclusive Petra Copper and Faroe Green color options, complemented by 20-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

The Defender Octa sits 28 mm higher and is 68 mm wider than the standard model, providing better ground clearance and stability. It also includes upgraded 400 mm front brake discs with Brembo calipers and the fastest steering ratio of any Defender to date.

Color Options

Buyers can choose from exclusive color options: Carpathian Grey, Charente Grey, Faroe Green, and Petra Copper. Moreover, these shades are also available in matte finishes, featuring a protective film for added durability.
