Design Updates
From rugged capability to luxurious refinement, the 2026 Land Rover Defender lineup pushes boundaries once again.
All body styles — Defender 90, Defender 110, and Defender 130 — now feature updated exterior finishes, new fog lights, and a striking new headlight signature.
The front and rear bumpers get new surfacing, and the gloss black grille-bar is now standard. The hood inserts and side vents also sport a new textured pattern, replacing the old checker-plate plastic from the previous model.
Tech Improvements
On the inside, enjoy a larger 13.1-inch touchscreen, enhanced storage options, and tech upgrades like the new Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control and Driver Attention Monitor.
Additionally, there’s a new sliding section and deeper stowage area in the center console, along with removable side pockets.
Moreover, it has a driver-facing infrared camera on the steering column for the Driver Attention Alert (DAA) feature – a key advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) feature mandated under the European Union’s recently revised GSR2 legislation.
The 2026 Defender will also offer adaptive off-road cruise control for the first time, which maintains a consistent speed when travelling over rougher terrain.
New Accessory Packs
Land Rover has expanded the accessory packs for the 2026 Defender. Besides the Explorer, Adventure, and Urban Packs, new individual accessories include black variations of the Expedition Roof Rack, Cross Bars and Front Undershield, the rear scuff plate is now also offered in a dark finish, in addition to the existing bright finish.
Defender OCTA
The Defender OCTA leads the pack with a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 635 horsepower, exclusive color options like Sargasso Blue and Patagonia White Matte Wrap, and 6D Dynamics suspension for serious off-road thrills.
To differentiate the OCTA from other Defender models, it now features a Textured Graphite finish with matte surfaces and a metallic flake. A Phosphor Bronze finish has been applied to the bumpers, hood vents, side fender vent surrounds, and hood script. There are some new individual accessories that can be ordered outside of packages, including an Expedition Roof Rack, crossbars, front undershield, and dark finish rear scuff plate (previously bright only). Customers can also add deployable or fixed running boards.
