Safety Alert: Audi Recalls 207 Electric SUVs in India Due to Potential Brake Failure
28 Apr 2026, 07:52 PM

While the brand’s official announcement confirms the recall affects 207 units in total, they have not yet shared the specific breakdown of numbers for each individual model.
What is The Issue?
The issue centers on a pushrod screw connection that may not have been tightened to the correct torque during assembly. If this connection fails, it can lead to a complete detachment of the brake pedal from the brake booster.
Audi India will contact affected owners
Audi India is reaching out to owners of the Q8 e-tron and e-tron models regarding a potential defect where the brake connection could loosen or, in rare cases, detach entirely.
If you experience a loss of standard braking, you can still stop the vehicle using the emergency braking function by pressing and holding the parking brake button. Audi will inspect all affected vehicles and replace any necessary parts free of charge.
To confirm if your vehicle is part of this recall, you can contact Audi India directly:
- Phone: 1800-419-5757
