Citroen Reveals Production-Spec Basalt Coupe SUV

Citroen India has revealed first pictures of the production-spec Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV ahead of its launch in August,2024.

This new model perfectly blends the sleek elegance of a coupé with the robust practicality of an SUV.

The French automaker aims to make mobility accessible by focusing on comfort, efficiency, and simplicity in their customer experience.

The front features Citroën’s signature X-shaped split DRLs, combined with LED-Vision projector headlamps for a unique look. The rear lights, with their three light stripes and gradient lines, create a magical depth effect. The logo connects with the light signature through glossy black detailing with chrome inserts.

The roofline extends to the trunk lid, with a large tailgate enhancing both the style and practicality of the car. The large rear hatch ensures easy access to the trunk while preserving the coupe-inspired design elements.

At the rear, it gets horizontal LED tail lights and a blacked out bumper which also features a silver skid plate.

The Basalt gets diamond-cut alloy wheels, while it will get the same old school flap-type door handles, and halogen tail lamps. The production model rides on smaller alloy wheels than the concept shod in different tyres.

Moreover, Citroen Basalt’s proportions look wide and the coupe-SUV will surely stand out from the conventionally styled SUVs in its segment.
