Tata Motors has announced that it will raise prices across its entire passenger vehicle (PV) range, including electric vehicles (EVs), starting from April.
The automaker stated that the price adjustment aims to partially offset rising input costs, with the extent of the increase varying by model and variant.
However, the company has not disclosed the exact percentage of the increase, only mentioning that it is necessary to offset rising input costs
In January 2025, Tata Motors increased the prices of its commercial vehicles by up to 2 percent, and passenger vehicles by up to 3 percent. Automakers generally hike prices at the start of each calendar year.
The move comes weeks after Tata Motors posted a 7 per cent year-on-year sales dip in February, As per FADA data, retail PV sales fell 10.34% in February 2025 to 3.03 lakh units.
Notably, Top car manufacturers in India, including Tata Motors, Kia India and Maruti Suzuki have announced significant price hikes for their vehicles starting next month.
Tata Motors currently has models like Tiago, Tigor, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, and Safari in its model lineup in the country.
Their electric models include Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, and Curvv EV. Meanwhile, the automaker is planning on launching the Harrier EV in the country.
